Hi Kortesas,
thanks for your PM
It is not easy to say something exactly about your eagle! In Polish Legions 1914-18 existed many different examples, kinds and sizes of these items - both with and without crowns… Considerable part of them were self-made badges anyway and practically only from 1919 one can say about some unific patterns!
In generally it is said that the letter “S” on shield carried the soldiers of the Personnel Company (Kompania Kadrowa) and the letter “L” the troops of the II Legions Brigade (II Brygada Legionów) but it has happened also some regimental figures on it…
And what (if so) the traces are visible on the shield of your eagle?
You’ll find below some links to similar eagles' iconography. In order to searching it for further write please in Google the phrase "orzeł (“orzełek”) legionowy" or "Legiony + orzeł":

asdic321,
thank you for you'r answer and for sharing information. Now I started understand a lot more about polish eagles. I even couldn't imagine that there are so many varieties of eagles. I am really happy that I joined to this forum. Everyone is so helpful
And I would like to thank all other members who helped me with information too
About that eagle. Nope, there are no marks of letter L on the shield. Thats why I was curious about this eagle. Always though that all legion eagles have letters but thanks to you, now I know that I was wrong
By the way, my friend has founded an silver eagle and he was wondering you'r opinion about this eagle:
Could it be orzeł patriotyczny?

In catalogue of jewerly stamps I cannot find this type of head.
"84" it is 84 "zołotników"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zolotnik" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It is made by silver 875 probe.
It looks like a second half of 19 century, but all will know when I or somebody will find stamp in catalogue.

Does anyone have any information about this tags? Thank you
Re: wykopky
In my oppinion they are tags with horses' names (and numbers), surely from the military stables - maybe just from the saddles
